High-performance two-channel aspirating smoke detector

ASD 535-4

SecuriSmoke ASD 535-4 provides two independent detection channels for two protection zones, extensive spaces and separately calculated sampling networks in demanding applications.

Where it fits.
Where it does not.

Start with zone structure, pipe complexity, environment, interfaces and destination-market approval—not maximum area alone.

Screen this model when

  • Two protection zones requiring independent sampling, indication and alarm evaluation
  • Extensive facilities with two separately calculated networks or complex zoning
  • Projects requiring high suction pressure, a wide temperature range and extensive event memory

Usually not the first choice when

  • A small single room or project where one channel already satisfies the calculation
  • Corrosive environments without the formally selected ASD 535 HD configuration and accessories
  • Simple replacement work where two-channel power, interfaces, zoning and maintenance have not been reviewed

Pipe, detection, environment
and installation constraints

These conditions change sampling performance, transport time and false-alarm control.

01

Sampling pipe

Each channel requires its own PipeFlow model and verification of hole sizes, pressure, transport time and balance. A combined total does not override the limit of either channel.

02

Detection

Two channels can protect separate zones, but alarm, isolation, fault and fire-system interface logic must be defined in the overall fire strategy.

03

Environment

The detector operating range is -30 °C to +60 °C and up to 95% relative humidity without condensation. Heavy dust, moisture and deep-freeze conditions require appropriate pre-treatment.

04

Installation

Confirm simultaneous two-channel power demand, interface capacity, accessible maintenance space and permanent pipe identification to prevent cross-connection during service.

Approvals and destination-market use

An approval mark does not mean automatic acceptance in every country, configuration or fire system.

Common selection questions

Public answers support first-stage screening; formal confirmation requires project inputs.

Does the 4,000 m² China figure apply to one channel?

No. It is the mainland China two-channel product-sheet configuration. Each channel and every international project must be evaluated separately against the applicable approval, topology and PipeFlow result.

Can the two channels monitor two different rooms?

Yes, this is a typical use case, provided each channel independently satisfies the pipe calculation, zoning, alarm interface and destination-market approval requirements.

Is ASD 535-4 always better than ASD 535-3?

No. ASD 535-4 is appropriate when two independent channels are required. If one channel meets the protection and calculation requirements, ASD 535-3 is generally simpler to design, commission and maintain.
