Service & support

PEIEN ASD Lifecycle Services

Plan the next step for systems in operation, from routine checks to equipment renewal. Product and technical support continues for new installations, extensions and refurbishment.

01

Operations & maintenance

Understand system condition, investigate operating issues and base maintenance on recorded findings.

System health checksEstablish an equipment and operating baseline, then identify what needs attention.

When it applies

The system has been operating for some time, but its condition is not fully documented. Airflow, filtration and sampling-pipe condition need to be checked again.

Service scope

  • Inspect the detector, sampling pipes, filtration and site operating conditions within the agreed scope.
  • Record abnormalities, risks and recommended next steps.

Information needed

  • Brand, model, equipment quantity, site location and years in operation.
  • Drawings, maintenance and fault records, and available access or work windows.

Implementation process

  • Review the available information and agree the inspection scope.
  • Inspect on site, document findings and review the results.

Deliverables and acceptance

  • An equipment condition list, inspection records and itemised recommendations.
  • Acceptance based on the agreed inspection items and completeness of the records.

Limitations and separate assessment

  • Work at height, concealed pipes, shutdowns and interlock testing require separate assessment.
  • Repairs, parts and modifications are not automatically included in the inspection scope.

Fault diagnosisGather evidence around the reported issue and identify a course of action.

When it applies

Abnormal airflow, recurring faults or unexplained alarms require investigation of the equipment, pipe network and environment together.

Service scope

  • Review the reported symptoms, logs, equipment condition and relevant operating conditions.
  • Inspect and test where conditions permit, separating confirmed causes from matters still to be verified.

Information needed

  • Fault codes, timing, frequency and site photographs.
  • Brand, model, operating logs and recent construction or environmental changes.

Implementation process

  • Review the symptoms and available information, then agree the diagnostic scope.
  • Test on site, analyse causes and review the recommended actions.

Deliverables and acceptance

  • Diagnostic records and a list of confirmed and unresolved findings.
  • Recommended actions and conditions for further verification, recorded for agreement by both parties.

Limitations and separate assessment

  • Available information, access permissions and the ability to reproduce the fault affect the assessment.
  • Diagnosis does not establish a fixed repair time or mean that the equipment has been repaired.

Preventive maintenancePlan periodic maintenance around the equipment, environment and service history.

When it applies

A planned approach is needed to check operating condition, filtration and pipework, reducing the accumulation of issues and repeated interventions.

Service scope

  • Define inspection, maintenance and testing items using equipment requirements and site conditions.
  • Track abnormalities and changes in condition before and after the work.

Information needed

  • An equipment register, environmental conditions and operating requirements.
  • Maintenance history, manufacturer requirements and available maintenance windows.

Implementation process

  • Agree maintenance items and intervals, and confirm the working conditions.
  • Carry out the plan, retest and update maintenance records.

Deliverables and acceptance

  • A maintenance plan, execution records and a list of unresolved items.
  • Check each agreed item and its records; the absence of faults does not replace acceptance checks.

Limitations and separate assessment

  • Intervals, test methods and impact on the system require project-specific assessment.
  • Unplanned repairs, component replacements and additional equipment are agreed separately.

02

Repairs & upgrades

Assess compatibility and implementation options, from failed components to system renewal.

Repairs and spare partsConfirm the issue and compatibility before arranging repair or replacement.

When it applies

A fault has been identified in equipment or a component, requiring assessment of the repair route, part compatibility and verification after restoration.

Service scope

  • Assess the feasibility of on-site work, workshop repair or component replacement.
  • Retest the agreed repair or replacement work.

Information needed

  • Model, serial number, fault records and completed diagnostic information.
  • Part details, system interfaces, shutdown windows and site access conditions.

Implementation process

  • Confirm the repair scope, part compatibility and quotation conditions.
  • Arrange the work, record replacements and retest after restoration.

Deliverables and acceptance

  • Repair or replacement records, a component list and retest results.
  • Completion confirmed against the agreed functional checks and acceptance items.

Limitations and separate assessment

  • Supply, manufacturer support, workshop repair conditions and logistics lead times require individual confirmation.
  • Charges for parts, consumables, travel and specialist work are agreed for each project.

Discontinued-model replacementReview the existing system and compare replacement options and their impact.

When it applies

Ageing equipment, discontinued models or limited spare-part availability require a practical replacement plan.

Service scope

  • Verify the status of the existing model and the support documentation available.
  • Assess candidate models, pipework, interfaces and implementation requirements.

Information needed

  • Existing models, years in operation, and equipment and pipe-network drawings.
  • Interface and interlock requirements, local requirements and available modification windows.

Implementation process

  • Survey the current system and identify replacement constraints.
  • Compare options, confirm the scope and plan implementation and acceptance.

Deliverables and acceptance

  • Replacement recommendations, a list of differences and risks, and a proposed phased approach.
  • Actual replacement follows separately agreed design, testing and acceptance conditions.

Limitations and separate assessment

  • A model name alone is not sufficient to establish direct interchangeability.
  • Pipe-network calculations, approvals, interface changes and regulatory review requirements must be checked again.

System upgradesConnect site requirements with product selection and implementation conditions.

When it applies

Changes to the protected area, site layout or operating conditions require reassessment and possible extension of the existing system.

Service scope

  • Assess new requirements for expanded areas, layout changes, interfaces and operational management.
  • Coordinate candidate solutions, equipment selection and implementation changeovers.

Information needed

  • Existing system drawings, equipment parameters and the proposed changes.
  • New operating conditions, protection objectives, system interfaces and project stage.

Implementation process

  • Review the current system and new requirements, then confirm design inputs.
  • Assess the technical options, agree implementation boundaries and arrange retesting and acceptance.

Deliverables and acceptance

  • Upgrade recommendations, equipment and interface requirements, and testing and acceptance checklists.
  • Delivery confirmed against the design and functional verification agreed for the project.

Limitations and separate assessment

  • Design, installation, interlock and approval responsibilities must be allocated for each project.
  • Candidate solutions require review against site conditions, pipe-network calculations and official product documentation.

Enterprise services

Organise equipment information, service responsibilities and annual maintenance across multiple sites.

View enterprise service frameworks
Enterprise service frameworksOrganise multi-site requirements around onboarding, service delivery and annual review.

When it applies

Multiple sites, different equipment and separate service arrangements require consistent responsibilities and record formats.

Service scope

  • Create agreed schedules by site, brand, model and service item.
  • Coordinate request intake, service records, unresolved items and head-office reporting.

Information needed

  • Site and equipment lists, brands and models, current condition and service history.
  • Regional distribution, service objectives, responsibility interfaces and procurement requirements.

Implementation process

  • Assess scope and responsibilities before onboarding.
  • Record intake, actions and acceptance during service, then develop plans through annual review.

Deliverables and acceptance

  • Service registers, acceptance records and consolidated reports within the agreed scope.
  • Confirm records by site and service item, and track unresolved issues.

Limitations and separate assessment

  • Regional organisation, response arrangements and brand support require individual assessment.
  • Request acknowledgement, site attendance and repair times are agreed separately, with clear parts and pricing boundaries.
